Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is great American professional basketball player of the Los Angeles Clippers on the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he has started specifically in the position of point guard. Paul has received the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, an Olympic gold medal, and led a NBA in assists 3 times and steals six times. He's got already been chosen to 7 NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and six All-Defensive teams.
Paul has been a McDonald's All-American in high school. He attended Wake Forest University for two years of university basketball where he helped the Demon Deacons achieve their first ever number one ranking. He was elected fourth total in your 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded into the Clippers in 2011.
In December 8, 2011, the Hornets agreed to a three-team trade transferring Paul on the L . A . Lakers. A NBA, that owned the team during the time, nullified the offer, along with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans would be better off holding Paul.The teams taking part in the transaction attempted to lobby the league to change its ruling and reconstruct the offer to no avail.On December 12, the Hornets approved a trade sending Paul into the Los Angeles Clippers, but the deal broke down after the NBA added additional demands to the original terms. Two days later, the teams now made the trade, sending Paul and two future 2nd round draft picks to the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and also Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick on the 2012 draft. After the deal's completion, Paul declared which he would opt in the final season for his contract and remain for Los Angeles for at least two more seasons.
